I used to think this was a vendor problem.

You know…where you’d sit through a 45-minute demo, get handed a six-month implementation timeline, and spend the next year explaining to your CFO why it still isn't live. That was my mental model for AI in HR. Impressive in a conference keynote. A project in practice. Not something you just... do yourself, on a Tuesday afternoon, without anyone's permission.

Then I built one. On a Sunday. No vendor. No IT ticket. No developer on Slack explaining what went wrong.

That's when the story I'd been told about who AI was for started to fall apart.

What your Monday actually looks like

Let me describe something. Tell me if any of this sounds familiar.

New hire (Day 3)

I never got the onboarding email — who do I contact about benefits?

You answer them. Thoughtfully, because that's who you are.

Then Wednesday arrives, and four more versions of the same questions come in.

And Thursday.

And next Monday.

Every single week, the treadmill starts up again.

People don't say this often enough, but…this isn't a people problem. Your employees aren't being difficult. The answer to their question is probably genuinely hard to find — buried in an internal wiki page that hasn't been touched since 2022, sitting inside a PDF, inside a folder, inside your intranet that nobody can navigate on a good day.

The problem is you…but please stay with me.

Not because anything is wrong with you or you're slow, but because you're the best path to a simple answer.

Every time a senior HR person answers a Tier 0 question — one with a clear, findable answer — that's time the organization is paying your salary for something it shouldn't be.

The sad part about this is that…it all compounds. You're reactive all week.

The work that actually moves the needle — the projects, the strategy, the things you were actually hired to do — keeps getting pushed.

Friday arrives and the inbox just got longer.

What I thought the fix would require

I assumed the solution looked like a vendor contract and an IT project.

The enterprise chatbot kind, with a kickoff meeting, a steering committee, and a rollout measured in quarters.

Wrong. By a lot.

I built a working HR AI assistant — one that knows your specific policies, answers employee questions accurately, and can be dropped into a Google Chat or Teams channel — in a single afternoon. No code. No vendor.

No implementation partner standing in the way.

The easiest version? You don't even need to build anything custom. If your company uses Google Workspace, you can have something live in under 20 minutes using some of the tools available. Upload your policy documents. Hit share. Done.

Your employees get a clean chat interface that actually reads from your documents — not a general model guessing from training data.

From there, you can go further. A more customized experience with its own rules and guardrails. Or a fully custom assistant your organization actually owns — one you built yourself, deployed on your own setup, with your company's name on it. I walk through all three levels in the course.

But the honest thing I want you to take away first:

You can already do this. Today. Without waiting for IT, without a budget approval, without a six-month timeline.

Why I'm making this a course — and why I'm capping it at 50

I've been building these tools for my own team and teaching others how to do the same. The gap I keep running into isn't technical skill. It's that nobody has shown HR people that the bar is lower than they think it is.

So I built something short. 90 minutes. Three levels of complexity — you pick the one that fits where you are right now. By the time you finish, you have something actually running. Not a plan. Not a slide deck. An assistant that handles your recurring inbox traffic so you can stop handling it.

I'm opening the first cohort to 50 people, for free.

No waitlist. No application. First come, first served — and I genuinely want to hear from the people who go through it. What worked. What broke. What they built. That feedback shapes everything that comes after. After 50, there'll be a price.

If your inbox is the first thing you dread on a Monday morning, this is for you.
